Yishak’s irrigation system

Yishak’s irrigation system

£150 of £200 raised

Dear generous friends, family and everyone else that found this campaign page,

EEF supports very under-priveledged children aged 14 to 18 years old, by providing them them with a full scholarship and residence in the city of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.Yishak EEF

My name is Stef and I am currently volunteering for EEF. I want to introduce you to one of their bright students: Yishak.

Yishak’s big wish is to study environmental engineering and to use his competences to increase human and animal life quality in Ethiopia.

Yishak and the other 53 students live together in a student hostel, where everyone is incredibly focused on a more promising life by studying very very diligently.

Luckily for the students, EEF is on good grounds with some universities in the USA and Costa Rica. These universities are willing to invite students if their grades are flawless and when they have succeeded some additional assignments.

Yishak received an additional assignment recently. He is to build a sustainable irrigation system for his self-made kitchen garden. Since subsistence in the hostel is very basic and students can’t afford any luxuries, we decided to set up this campaign page.

We are very grateful for all your donations! It is literally life changing for this guy!

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!If you are a UK taxpayer your donation could be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you. It means that for every £1 you donate to Ethiopian Education Foundation we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

I understand I must pay enough income tax and/or capital gains tax each tax year to cover the amount of Gift Aid that all charities and community amateur sports clubs claim on my donations in that tax year, and I am responsible for paying any difference. Please remember to let us know if your tax status, name or address change or if you wish to cancel your Gift Aid declaration.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Ethiopian Education Foundation receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
